He worked closely with the vice president for advancement to conduct a successful capital campaign and coordinated a new marketing theme, new admission and recruitment initiatives and campus beautification and renovation programs.

Moore became provost and vice president for academic affairs at Texas State University-San Marcos in July 2004.  As provost, Moore serves as the chief academic officer of the university and is responsible for the coordination and quality of the university’s academic and research programs.  During his tenure, the university has added five undergraduate and eight graduate degree programs, experienced a significant increase in enrollment, completed work on the McCoy College of Business Administration complex, established the Ingram School of Engineering, and opened a second campus in Round Rock, Texas.  Funding for a school of nursing also has been approved and construction is scheduled to begin in late 2008.
